Varsity View Falcon Softball is a volunteer-led, community-driven softball program serving the Charleswood area, including the Varsity View, Roblin Park, and Westdale catchments. We are proud to offer a welcoming, inclusive environment where girls of all ages and experience levels can learn, grow, and discover a love for the game.
Our program is part of the Winnipeg Southwest Youth Softball Association (WSWYSA) and is built on the values of skill development, teamwork, confidence, and community connection.
Varsity View Softball is organized and operated by dedicated volunteers who give their time, energy, and passion to ensure athletes have a fun, safe, and rewarding season.
Our mission is to:
Provide a positive and supportive environment for players of all skill levels
Build strong, confident athletes both on and off the field
Develop fundamental and advanced softball skills through quality coaching
Create meaningful friendships and memories through teamwork and community
Encourage leadership, sportsmanship, and respect
Keep youth sports accessible and enjoyable for all families
We believe softball is more than a sport — it’s an opportunity for young athletes to learn life skills, build confidence, and become part of a community that lifts them up.
Stephanie’s passion for softball began at age 11, when she joined her local community A-level team. Her love for the sport grew quickly, and she soon advanced to AA-level softball, where she played for several years. Throughout high school, she continued to compete on her school’s softball team along with her AA team, playing the game she loved until she aged out at 19.
Stephanie rediscovered her passion for softball when her daughter joined the U11 program at age 10. Watching her daughter grow within the sport reignited Stephanie’s enthusiasm, and soon after, she stepped into the Softball Convenor role alongside Jamie. She has been actively involved ever since.
Stephanie loves planning and organizing all aspects of the season — from clinics and skills camps to tournaments and community events. She is continually looking for new ideas, opportunities, and development pathways to help Varsity View athletes thrive. Her dedication, creativity, and commitment to player development are at the heart of the Varsity View Softball program.
